Bungoma Reproductive Maternal Newborn Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH)
Network was founded in 2019, by the union of civil society organizations and members of the Media as the key actors, who previously were involved in Maternal Newborn Health advocacy program for two years. The network is to ensure efficient and effective advocacy of RMNCAH in Bungoma County. The network is registered under the department of social services as an amalgamated CBO.
Members include : HYPE CBO, ADVENTURE YOUTH GROUP, CROWNED YOUTH GROUP, AMBANA SIRENDE CBO, MILIMO CBHC, STAGE MEDIA ARTS, BUNGOMA YOUTH CONNECT (BYC), MEMBERS OF THE FOURTH ESTATE.

EVIDENCE-BASED ADVOCACY
Develop evidence providing information on the financing context and trends around RMNCAH and Health, Memos and presenting them to decision makers like; county assembly health committee, the CECMs, chief officer health.

COMMITMENT TRACKING
Conduct follow up on commitments made by decision makers and stakeholders like; county assembly health committee and their budget and appropriation counterparts, and the CHMT.

JOINT ADVOCACY CAMPAIGNS
Hold advocacy campaigns towards strengthening primary health care as a direct influence to our three priority RMNCAH issues. Take part meaningfully in both county executive, county assembly and national public participation and stakeholder/decision maker engagements.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISMS
Engage in quarterly and annual county/sub county MPDSR and county RMNCAH performance review meetings with relevant decision makers in the health department, finance and economic planning department, CHMT and county assembly representation.

POLICY ENGAGEMENT ADVOCACY
Advocate for effective policy disseminations around RMNCAH across all sub county in
collaboration with other development partners.

BUDGET ADVOCACY AND PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
Participate in decision making process at the technical working group level through meetings to influence RMNCAH budgetary and financial decisions.
