In our relentless pursuit of fostering inclusivity and equality, Reproductive Maternal Newborn Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) Network has embraced gender transformative advocacy as a fundamental approach in all our endeavors. Our commitment goes beyond mere representation; we strive to create opportunities and activities that reflect and empower diverse voices, emphasizing the utilization of the MPDSR (Maternal and Perinatal Death Surveillance and Response) platform to identify gender-related gaps through strategic advocacy interventions.
Inclusive opportunities and Activities
At RMNCAH Network, we recognize that genuine change begins with inclusivity. In all our activities and opportunities, we prioritize gender representation, ensuring that diverse perspectives are not only acknowledged but actively sought. By fostering an environment where every voice is heard, we pave the way for a more equitable future.
Utilizing MPDSR for Gender-Related Gap Identification
Leveraging on the MPDSR and community MPDSR platforms, we have taken a data-driven approach to identify gender-related gaps contributing to maternal deaths in Bungoma County. This platform not only allows us to pinpoint disparities, gender dynamics and stereotypes but also serves as a catalyst for informing our advocacy interventions. Through our advocacy, some of the gaps identified from MPDSR and c-MPDSR are then fed into the county Health Annual Work Plan as action points to be implemented. Through collaboration with stakeholders, we amplify our impact and create an effect that extends beyond the immediate scope of our activities.
In embracing gender transformative advocacy, RMNCAH Network is not merely checking boxes; we are driving a cultural shift. Our commitment to always be gender inclusive in all our organization endeavors and utilizing platforms like MPDSR for informed decision-making, we are actively contributing to a world where gender equality is not an aspiration but a reality.
